Iridion 3D»rank: 15577from: Majesco Sales Inc.
0ur opinion: Review:lridion 3D is reminiscent of arcade shooters such as Galaga or Gradius, except that lridion is done in over-the-shoulder third-person 3-D. The problem is that this perspective really, really hurts the gameplay. 0ne can only wonder how much better lridion 3D might have been had the developers chosen a more workable point of view. Your ship sometimes blocks your sightline as you shoot, and it's extremely difficult to accurately gauge distance and depth ...

Gun Metal»rank: 18079from: Majesco Sales Inc.
0ur opinion: :With the last of your outer defenses breached and the enemy moving ever onward, destroying all that lies in its path, only one hope remains. Standing ten meters tall and equipped with an arsenal of devastating weaponry, a battle machine that can transform into a highly maneuverable jet fighter is your only hope of turning the tide of war. That's where you come in. You can freely transform from powerful mech to ...

Fortress»rank: 17551from: Majesco Sales Inc.
0ur opinion: Review:A cross between the definitive puzzle game Tetris and the niche arcade classic Rampart, Fortress has plenty of substance, but doesn't take advantage of the Game Boy Advance's visual and aural capabilities. The game challenges players to construct towers from Tetris-like pieces, while simultaneously trying to destroy their opponent's structure and defending their own. Players use a variety of weapons and units to achieve their aims. Twerps are the grunts of the game ...

Each episode is self-contained, from "Decalogue I" ("I Am the Lord Thy God"), the touching story of a boy who starts asking the hard questions of life from his rationalist father and religious aunt, to "Decalogue X" ("Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Goods"), a comic tale of estranged brothers who bond through a winding ordeal involving their father's priceless stamp collection. There are stories of tragedy and triumph, both expansive and intimate, some profoundly moving and others delicately shaded--but all are warmed by Kieslowski's sympathetic direction and his eye for resonant, fragile imagery. Initially drawn together by location--the series is set in a dreary Warsaw apartment complex--a web of associations forms as characters pass through other stories, sometimes only briefly, and themes reverberate through the series. The Decalogue is ultimately a personal spiritual investigation into the soul of man, a work of quiet attention and deep emotion marked by astounding images and vivid characters. Each volume is also available individually on VHS. --Sean Axmaker
