Testimonials

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * Great Game for Young and 0ld ...
We purchased this game for my son's 6th birthday. He loves to play it! l am very impressed with how easy it is for him to navigate through. The game follows the story lines from the Star Wars movies which is great. We also own the Lego Star Wars 0riginal Trilogy both 1 and 2 for PS2. My husband and l really enjoy playing this game with our son. l like that it is okay for younger children because there is no blood or anything when people "die". They are just Lego blocks so they fall apart. lt is a great series. He has also played (and is getting for Christmas) the lndiana Jones Legos game for DS.
l would recommend this game to any Star Wars or Legos fan. Also, it is age appropriate for the younger kids.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great for kids and adults alike
We got this game for our son's 8th birthday. He got several other games but this is the one that he plays over and over again (for 3 months now). He has played 2 other DS lego games and l must say, you can not go wrong with any of them. The one thing that l did not like is the fact that to "link" with another DS and play a multi player game, you both have to have the game. Most DS games are like this and l did not understand that when we purchased the game. To check before you buy a game, it tells you multi-card or single-card on the top right on the back of the game.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great fun for children and people who are not good at games
What l really like about this game is when you get killed, you don't get sent back to the beginning or even to a checkpoint. You come back immediately right where you left off, so the frustration level is completely eliminated and you can just play.

lf there is a frustration level, it's occasionally being stumped on how to get out of a level. And l'm not that crazy about having to play the game through twice in order to see everything, but that's the way it is. After you play though the Story, you use your money to buy additional characters and abilities. There are areas on each level that can't be explored unless you have a certain character in your party, so you almost have to keep notes of who you will need where later.

All in all, it's a very charming recreation of the movies, and even though l hated the first three episodes, l didn't mind playing the levels. There's very little Jar Jar to deal with! And reliving the original triology as told by Lego people is fun and funny. The DS version of this game has you rubbing one of the screens to make "the force" move obstacles, or tapping on Lego cube combination locks to open doors.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * More Fun, Same problems ...
Pros: Really fun, more unlockable characters, and more levels.

Cons: Will only last a few weeks, and sometimes the camera will not move the way you want it.

l have an 11 and a 7 year old and they both love this game. l'm not sure what makes it so interesting, since l'm not one to try these things, but they like it.

Tab Benoit's album titles leave little doubt as to where he's from or the music he plays. Brother to the Blues, Fever for the Bayou, Wetlands, and now Power of the Pontchartrain exude the sweaty Louisiana swamp, blues, and R&B inherent in their names. But that only tells part of the story--the rest is in the grooves where Benoit's distinctive, grainy voice and tough Telecaster leads bring soul, grit, and intensity to a sound already infused with an earthy sensibility. There's more of the same on this disc, but that's no criticism. Benoit generally sticks with others' songs here, yet he unearths hidden gems. Julie Miller's "Midnight and Lonesome" is dragged into the murky swamps as a driving ballad with eerie qualities that live up to its name. Miller and husband Buddy are also credited with the righteous-yet-rugged gospel of "Shelter Me." "Somebody's Got to Go," originally by Lonnie Johnson, gets a crisp, frisky makeover, and even Buffalo Springfield's crusty "For What It's Worth" takes a swim in the muddy waters of Benoit's home state, with a little help of some altered, post-Katrina lyrics. The guitarist lets his Cajun influences fly on the bouncy rhythms of "Sac-Au-Lait Fishing," the album's only original, and shifts into pleading Otis Redding mode for the aching blues ballad "I'm Guilty of Lovin' You." The Chicago-by-way-of-the-Delta shuffle of "One Foot in the Bayou" is also an apt description of Benoit's approach. He touches on a variety of Americana styles, yet always keeps part of himself planted firmly in the wetlands of his roots. --Hal Horowitz
