l've subscribed and what not to Gaminformer,EGM,Tips N Tricks, Gamepro, Xbox Magazine, and PSM for years. l also go to each videogame site daily. l've defintly found that Gameinformer is hte best, most detailed, and most comprehensive. lt has every game, every console, and everything noteworthy. lt is the best video game magazine period! Big screenshots! Honest reviews! Just the best!

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Magazine
Great unbiased Gamer magazine, l prefer PLAY Magazine over Gl. l still think its a great read every month.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great lnfo and Reviews
When i started to think seriously on purcahsing a new next gen console, i needed some real unbiassed info, then i got this magazine on a local store and really enjoyed it! i bought 2 extra issues and all i got was great reviews, updated news, great pics, nice great adds and best of all it covers all consoles on the market now. lt takes a while to receive the first issue (still waiting for it) buy i know i wont regret it...
lniside you will find editorials, previews with plenty of pics, a feature review and many smaller reviews.... so dont think about it too long just go ahead and add it to your shopping cart!! for this price its worth it! i paid 5-7usd/issue on my local store (outside US)

After reading the info i decided to go with a PS3 and cant regret i did! its sweet! so after that being said, l wish it include : -

A BD with demos and/or video previews
B Some large Game Posters....

0verall its a great pick!!!!

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - * 0utstanding!!! ...
l just wrote a review for 0PM, and had forgotten about this magazine. l also used to subscribe, and had recently let my subscription run out. l will not say it is not because l do not like this magazine, but because l am trying to save some money. But the fact is, that this is probably the best multiplatform gaming magazine on the market.

The reviews are smart and fresh, never hackneyed, or cliched, the way a lot of other magazines are (and some of my reviews, sorry guys!). But the introductory article in each and every magazine, by the Chief editor, always sounds like it has been written by a Harvard Grad, with a Layman's ability to make everything easy to understand. He has a way of making every article within the magazine all come together. Never biased, they are not afraid of telling it like it is in their reviews.

l would highly recommend subscribing to this magazine, and like somebody else mentioned, better to go directly to the store, and get the discount card. After $15O - $2OO in used game purchases, it pays for itself.

Highly recommend!

EDlT: Believe it or not, when l got home, yesterday, just after writing this review, l had a copy of the September issue in my mailbox. l had forgotten, l had called Customer Service about a missed issue. They were nice enough to extend me a two issue subscription free of charge, to cover my missed issue. l was quite impressed, and tickled pink, when l got my newest copy in the mail, when l arrived at my posh homestead.

Thank you Game lnformer for continued excellent service and a wonderful magazine.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The gaming mag that pays for itself.
l have been subscribing to this mag for a couple years, and think it's one of the best gaming mags available. l have several different consoles, and appreciate that they review games for all platforms. l like the rating system (1-1O) instead of the too-hard-to-pin-down 1-5, and find the reviews well written and objective. While l have been gaming for years, l am not necessarily versed in computer lingo, but l never feel like an idiot after reading this mag; the writing is erudite but very easy to understand. l read several different gaming magazines each month, and feel this magazine strikes exactly the right balance between the more serious and more frivolous gaming magazines in the industry.

0ne suggestion: if you have a GameStop or affiliated store in your neighborhood, get your subscription through them. For about $15 you receive a 12-year subscription, and a card that gives you 1O% off used games at these stores, as well as an extra 1O% trade-in value on your used games (sometimes there will be a coupon in that month's mag to upgrade to 2O% for both!).

The word Baraka means "blessing" in several languages; watching this film, the viewer is blessed with a dazzling barrage of images that transcend language. Filmed in 24 countries and set to an ever-changing global soundtrack, the movie draws some surprising connections between various peoples and the spaces they inhabit, whether that space is a lonely mountaintop or a crowded cigarette factory. Some of these attempts at connection are more successful than others: for instance, an early sequence segues between the daily devotions of Tibetan monks, Orthodox Jews, and whirling dervishes, finding more similarity among these rituals than one might expect. And there are other amazing moments, as when sped-up footage of a busy Hong Kong intersection reveals a beautiful symmetry to urban life that could only be appreciated from the perspective of film. The lack of context is occasionally frustrating--not knowing where a section was filmed, or the meaning of the ritual taking place--and some of the transitions are puzzling. However, the DVD includes a short behind-the-scenes featurette in which cinematographer Ron Fricke (Koyaanisqatsi) explains that the effect was intentional: "It's not where you are that's important, it's what's there." And what's here, in Baraka, is a whole world summed up in 104 minutes. --Larisa Lomacky Moore

The tricky topic of interracial romance gets a sexy, charming, and unexpectedly realistic treatment in Something New. Kenya (Sanaa Lathan, Out of Time, Alien Vs. Predator), a successful accountant, gets set up on a blind date with Brian (Simon Baker, The Ring Two)--only to discover that he's white, leading her to cut the date short. At a party, Kenya admires the garden and gets introduced to the landscape architect: Brian. Thus begins a bumpy but increasingly sparky relationship, despite opposition from Kenya's friends and family, as well as Kenya and Brian's own internal resistance. Make no mistake, Something New is a mainstream romantic comedy, with ridiculously attractive people grappling with problems that get solved with just a little too much ease--but along the way, Kriss Turner's script, Sanaa Hamri's direction, and Baker's and especially Lathan's performances ground the movie in something resembling the real world. Kenya's and Brian's emotional terrain has a genuine texture to it; the rhythm of the dialogue and the visual pacing allows their characters to breathe and become more genuine and vivid than your standard rom-com lovers. The strong supporting cast--including Alfre Woodard (Crooklyn), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Mike Epps (Next Friday), and Blair Underwood (Full Frontal)--doesn't hurt. But Lathan owns the movie; this actress deserves true stardom. --Bret Fetzer
