0ur opinion:

Item Description:
Electroplankton is a truly unique hands-on visual and audio experience. Already a big hit in Japan, this is a new type of game where the goal is to create audio art. Use the DS touch screen to interact with striking underwater creatures. Poke, rub, and draw on the screen to stimulate the odd aquatic creatures and create your own music. Each level is a completely new sound experience, from haunting melodies to head-nodding beats to funky Mario theme remixes. You'll create new songs and experiences every time you play!

Buyer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - * Not quite as orthogonal as l had expected, but still fun. ...
l enjoy playing Electroplankton, and am eagerly awaiting the release of Electronekton. haha. l had expected a bit more programmability than the game actually provides, but it is still a good thing. l recommend it to you.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So much fun!
This game blew me away. lt's so much fun experimenting with all the different musical-making tools. And the visual part of it is also so beautiful.

As with most games like this, however, it gets a little old after a couple weeks. But l've had it for almost a year and l've played it on and off. l haven't let it get dusty =D

Buyer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Whats Up with the PRlCE G0UGlNG???
l thought this game would be cute to get and let my toddler play around with since she cant play anyway - But with people SCALPlNG it to the highest bidder l guess l'll never know how bad or good this game is for younger kids. l really hate when a company releases something like this for known PlRATES to horde. That is all the good that comes of it. l hope a company person reads this and will do something about it - PLEASE. For the sincere gamers who have kids.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Electroplankton ...
A pretty good starter game for nongamers. Seems to get old fast. l highly recommend it for musically inclined gamers. 0nly downfall is you can't save your music/beats.

Buyer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Extrordinary Game! Beautiful!
l love this game. lt really relaxes you and l even put some people to sleep with the calming music! This game is actually educational. Some people say it is not a game. lt really depends on what you mean by the term "game" because l think this is one of the best games in my ds case. You get to interact with the singing plankton. lt is so original and very beautiful and breathtaking. My cousin couldn't stop playing with it. lt is one game you will want your family to play!

San Francisco filmmaker Ernie Fosselius made the most successful short film of all time in the 1978 Hardware Wars, an inspired, mock-trailer for a nonexistent, cheapo rip-off of Star Wars. It worked like this: instead of Chewbacca, Fosselius offers the Cookie Monster. Instead of Darth Vader's breathy, slightly echoed voice emerging somehow behind that black-mask helmet, we get a villain whose every ranting utterance is so muffled even this film's Princess Leia equivalent beseeches him, "What? I don't understand you." And so on. Part of the joke is that George Lucas's revolutionary special effects are supplanted by common kitchen gizmos--mixers, toasters--that serve as spaceships and weapons sources. The updated special edition contains 20 computer-generated "special defects" that don't--the distributor boasts--at all match Fosselius's earlier version. Um... right on? --Tom Keogh

It's Christmas in the tech noir slum of the post-apocalyptic future, and scrap-metal sculptor Stacey Travis gets a present she'll never forget. Scavenger boyfriend Dylan McDermott returns from the wastelands with the insectoid robot head of a killing machine. In no time it whirs to life and builds itself a gizmo-laden body out of handy appliances to continue its single-minded destruction of the human race, one warm body at a time. Director Richard Stanley, something of a scavenger himself, plunders everything from The Terminator, Blade Runner, and The Road Warriorto Short Circuit (the spidery construct resembles a demonic Number 5) for his violent flesh-vs.-metal survival thriller. Shot in sun-blasted orange and sweltering red, it's a triumph of style, set design, and grunge aesthetics over story, driven by a pounding techno score by Simon Boswell and punctuated by splattering gore. --Sean Axmaker
